Badger Automation

Control system engineering and panel build documentation for a production machine platform, delivered as a repeatable standard.

Client challenge
The equipment relied on ad-hoc wiring and undocumented control logic, which made fault-finding slow and every duplicate build slightly different from the last.
Engineering solution
We produced a full IEC-referenced drawing set, standardised panel layouts and wire numbering, and rewrote the control logic as modular, commented routines with clear operator diagnostics on the HMI.
Business outcome
Maintenance teams can trace any circuit from drawing to terminal, and the platform can now be replicated without re-engineering the control system each time.

In-line Scale

Automated in-line weighing integrated into a production conveyor, with capture and reporting of every weight event.

Client challenge
Weights were checked manually and recorded on paper, which slowed the line, introduced transcription errors and left no reliable record for quality review.
Engineering solution
We integrated load cell instrumentation with the line PLC, added reject and pass logic with operator feedback at the HMI, and streamed each weighment to a database feeding live dashboards.
Business outcome
Weighing now happens at line speed with an auditable record per product, giving production and quality a shared, timestamped data set.

Electrical and control engineering for a plant distribution and motor control installation, documented for long-term operation.

Client challenge
Plant expansion had outgrown the original distribution design, and the absence of current documentation made every modification a risk to uptime.
Engineering solution
We re-engineered the distribution and motor control scheme, produced a coherent drawing set with consistent equipment referencing, and provisioned spare capacity for planned expansion.
Business outcome
The site now has an accurate, expandable electrical baseline that supports safe isolation, planned maintenance and future load additions.

Commissioning · Optimisation

Press One Post Commissioning

Post-commissioning support, tuning and safety verification on a production press to stabilise output after handover.

Client challenge
After initial installation the press was running below expected cycle stability, and operators had limited diagnostic information when it stopped.
Engineering solution
We reviewed the control sequence, refined timing and interlock logic, verified guarding and safety circuits, and expanded HMI diagnostics so stoppage causes are named on screen.
Business outcome
Cycle behaviour is consistent, downtime causes are visible to the operator, and the maintenance team has documented sequence logic to work from.
